Yep, this is my story. Melt the Fat is not just some fitness ebook that I made up. The information, the menus, the exercises are all things that I have tried, tested and used to get lean and toned. I know what you may be thinking... "But you don't count! You're a personal trainer!"
True. But I wasn't always a personal trainer. Here's a bit of my story. Then I am going to share how others feel about the Melt the Fat ebook.
I was always an active kid. I played team sports all through school and never had much of an issue with weight. I ate what I wanted, when I wanted. As time passed and I grew up things changed. I had less time to play sports. Instead I was busy working desk jobs and eating junk food in between important meetings. I had deadlines to meet and reports to write.
My health started to decline and things that used to be enjoyable suddenly felt like a pain in the you know what. The last thing I wanted to do after a long day was cardio and strength training. Ugh, it even hurt to say the "E" word. Exercise. Sounding familiar at all :)
At one point I knew I had to do something about my weight. I felt tired and sluggish. I felt sad and unfocused. I went about my day feeling run down and dull. I knew this was not how my life was supposed to be. So I took to the Internet and began researching exercise information and nutrition advice. Talk About Being Confused!
"Do this." "No, that's bad for you. Do that." Everything and everyone contradicted each other. I wasn't really sure who I could trust. Call it a stroke of good luck, but I had a friend that needed help managing a fitness center. She knew I had some management experience and offered me the position. I took it and to make a long story short... I felt compelled to become a personal trainer and nutritionist!
I did everything I needed to do in order to train people in fitness. Throughout this process was a lot of trial and error. I'll be the first to admit that. But what emerged from that trial and error was a concrete program that kept delivering results over and over again for my clients. I tweaked it a bit and then I went on the program!
